Eastlake is one of the first communities to be developed on the eastern stretch of Clark Road past Interstate 75. Homebuilding here started sometime in the latter half of the 1990s, and the property was eventually built out to host a total of 97 homes.

A deed-restricted and gated community, Eastlake is a family-friendly neighborhood which likewise attracts professionals and retirees. This broad market appeal owes much to the well-located and superbly developed acreage of East Lake.

Simple but Endearing Layout

Lushly wooded preserve areas dominate this community’s setting which create a peaceful and refreshing environment to live in. It also helps that Eastlake was developed with just one interior street — Aventura Drive.

This street stretches from the entrance northward past a small lagoon and loops around a larger lake. Both flanks of Aventura Drive were platted with home sites, and consequently, many Eastlake homes for sale provide placid water views or sit back to verdant nature preserves. As a bonus, the community’s natural surroundings attract visits of birds and endearing wildlife like deer.

Custom-built Homes

Most Eastlake homes for sale were builds by custom builders Arthur Rutenberg and Maglich Homes. Many of the Eastlake residences are pool homes, featuring modern Florida architectural designs. Their exteriors are striking renditions of tiled roofs and stucco-painted concrete block walls. The homes’ interiors are as impressive with their soaring ceilings, open and expansive family rooms, modern kitchens and spacious lanais.

Sales listings in Eastlake are typically homes with floor areas of between 2,000 and 2,500 square feet designed with three to four bedrooms. Typical price quotes of these residences are in the $300s–$400s range.

Key Roadways

The market value of Eastlake homes value gets a solid boost too from their proximity to major roadways. The nearby Clark Road corridor, for instance, feeds a short distance west to Interstate 75, thus opening quick access to a wide selection of life and leisure venues northward. Via Clark and its arterial roads, topnotch schools in the Bee Ridge area can also be conveniently accessed, including Lakeview Elementary, Sarasota Middle, and Riverview High.

Other nearby roadways, such as Proctor and Bee Ridge Roads, are as beneficial to Eastlake residents. Short trips, for instance, on Bee Ridge Road extension east of the community leads northward to the Rothenbach Park featuring bike trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas.

Sports Hubs Nearby

Heritage Golf Course

Golfers, on the other hand, can pursue their passion at the nearby links of Heritage Oaks and Misty Creek. Both golf clubs are just north of Eastlake and offer attractive member privileges at reasonable rates.

The Buck O’Neil Baseball Complex at Twin Lakes Park is another local point of interest which help spur market interest in Eastlake homes for sale. An extension of the Ed Smith Stadium, the Twin Lakes ball park is not only a part of the spring training camp for the Baltimore Orioles. Its pro baseball facilities also host youth, high school and college-level competitions. The 123-acre park also boasts of a large picnic pavilion and offers rental space for corporate events and community socials that are very much part of the lifestyle at Eastlake.
