KB Homes Adds More Roofs in Punta Gorda


 

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, July 6, 2017 – KB Homes has stepped up its building activity in its Southwest Florida communities, three of which are in the Punta Gorda area of Charlotte County.

This June, the Los Angeles, California-based homebuilder, put on the market three pre-construction single family homes in Oak Harbour, a new community off South Jones Loop Road in Punta Gorda. These new additions to recent listings of Charlotte homes for sale have floor areas ranging from 2,128 to 2,620 square feet designed with three bedrooms and priced between the $200s–$300s range.

New Builds in Oak Harbour, Creekside

KB started building in Oak Harbour in early 2015, and its sales here have picked up since the start of 2017, riding on the vibrant market activity of the Charlotte real estate market. This development is set as a community with a private gate, 50 home sites, and a covered pavilion amongst its amenities. Its homes are planned on 125-foot-wide wooded lots located about 500 meters east of Interstate 75.

Less than a mile north on the western flank of I-75, KB is already nearing build-out in its Creekside residential development just east of Taylor Road. Since the start of this year, some 20 residences were sold in this community including seven new builds. A move-in ready sales-listing here is priced in the low $200s and comes with a floor area of about 1,500 square feet designed with three bedrooms and two baths.

Creekside is a small, deed-restricted community with its choice home sites overlooking the neighborhood’s lake. Its amenities include a community pavilion, grill and playground.

Villa Choices at Tuscany Isles

A bit farther north also off Taylor Road, KB Homes is likewise offering newly built pre-construction villas at Tuscany Isles. The sales listings in this new community feature floor plans of between 1,440 and 1,525 square feet designed with three bedrooms and two baths, and priced in the $200s.

The amenities in this development include a clubhouse and swimming pool. Tuscany Isles is a gated, maintenance-included community with its select homes located near a lake and offer refreshing water views. A path flanks this lake, allowing a quiet walk through the property’s woods and nature preserve area.

Market Push from Airport

Besides these amenities and convenient location near major road corridors, Tuscany Isles and its sister KB communities enjoy proximity to the Punta Gorda Airport which has a growing presence in the aviation industry.

One of the airport’s two carriers, Allegiant Air, recently added year-round non-stop service to four northern cities. This fall, the discount airline will start flying passengers from Punta Gorda to Rochester, New York; Flint, Michigan; Milwaukee, Wisconsin; and Newburgh, New York. It is also planning to have nonstop service to St. Cloud, Minnesota on a seasonal schedule.

Allegiant’s service to the new destinations will be limited to twice-a-week flights. The new year-round flights will operate on Fridays and Mondays, while the St. Cloud schedule will be on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

The St. Cloud service will start on November 17, with flights scheduled through winter and spring. With the additions, Allegiant will flying to 39 cities from the Punta Gorda Airport, which could further boost the marketing mileage for the local communities of KB Homes.
