New Palmer Ranch Community Shaping Up in Sandhill Preserve

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, September, 23, 2013 – Palmer Ranch of Sarasota is set to be enriched with another new community which DiVosta Homes is breaking ground in the popular master-planned development in Southwest Florida, Sarasota Bay Real Estate reports. Set on the drawing boards is the Sandhill Preserve, an active adult community. It will showcase the consumer-inspired homes and neighborhoods thriving on casual, resort-style living that DiVosta, a member of national homebuilder PulteGroup, is noted for.

Sandhill Preserve will rise at the strategic junction of Central Sarasota Parkway and Honore Avenue wherein DiVosta has acquired 111 lots. This acquisition ushers in the first phase of a possible 350 lots on the 125 acres that the homebuilder purchased in Palmer Ranch. Land development starts this summer, and early 2014 is the expected opening for this new community.

Durable homes in amenity-rich enclave

DiVosta plans to offer choices from a number of single-story plans ranging in floor areas from about 1,500 to 2,400 square feet designed with two to four bedrooms and two to three baths. Envisioned as a gated community, Sandhill Preserve will feature several recreational amenities such as a resort-type pool, clubhouse and fitness center.

Enhanced durability, specifically more robust protection against hurricanes, likewise looms as strong selling points for these homes, Sarasota Bay Real Estate says. The PulteGroup, the full service realty firm notes, recently entered into a partnership with Venice-based PGT Industries, manufacturer of a line of impact-resistant windows and doors. Under this tie-up, the PulteGroup will underscore PGT’s WinGuard products in some of its subsidiaries homebuilding projects including those in Sarasota and Venice, which are primarily DiVosta territories.
