SARASOTA, FLORIDA, August 1st, 2016 – This is one ranking which residents of Beneva Pines, Clark Meadows and Nathaniel Place would surely agree with as they arrived at the same rating before in their selection of Sarasota homes for sale. Other local communities in this ranking included the county seat Sarasota, North Sarasota, Englewood, Gulf Gate Estates, Southgate, Sarasota Springs, Venice Gardens, and Bee Ridge.

The Niche rankings mainly used data from the U.S. Census, Bureau of Labor Statistics, Center for Disease Control, and the FBI. Pinecrest in Miami-Dade County and Doctor Phillips in Orange County were No. 1 and No. 2, respectively, on this list. Coral Gables in Miami-Dade was fourth and Maitland in Orange County were respectively fourth and fifth in the ratings.

Centrally located in Sarasota, South Gate Ridge truly deserves its lofty rating, especially based on the amenities available right within its locality. Just off west of South Beneva Road bisecting this community are the facilities of the Sarasota County Technical Institute and the Suncoast Technical College whose grounds also serve as venue of the Central Sarasota Farmer’s Market.

Additionally, Wilkinson Elementary School adjoins north of these institutions. Further reinforcing South Gate Ridge’s stature as a haven of family-friendly residential neighborhoods, this community is also served by the nearby Gulf Gate and Riverview school districts.

Prospective buyers of more spacious Sarasota homes for sale can opt for a search in the nearby Beneva Pines at the southeast corner of Proctor and South Beneva Road. Though available properties here are rare, typical sales listings are attractively priced from the mid-$200s to $300s for well-constructed residences having floor areas of between 1,500 and 2,400 square feet. 

At Nathaniel Place, a gated enclave just east of Red Bug Slough, sales-listings also come seldom as it consists of just 11 residences. It is nonetheless worth putting this neighborhood in a watch list of Sarasota homes for sale. The residences of Nathaniel Place are all upscale in their build, featuring three to four bedrooms within floor areas ranging from 2,400 to 3.400 square feet. Pricing of recent sales here trended towards the $500s and $600s, reasonable price points considering the lofty ranking of its South Gate Ridge community.
