Kingsfield is a large residential development that Centex Homes initiated in Parrish starting from the late 1990s up to 2005. This community’s acreage sprawls on the northwest corner of Old Tampa Road and Fort Hamer Road, a major crossroad which helps define the better options amongst Parrish homes for sale.

Other potent residential search destinations, both existing and new developments, notably flank the homes for sale in Kingsfield. Directly adjacent west of this community is its sister development, Kingsfield Lakes, wherein Centex started building residences in the early 2000s.

Cross Creek, a community which Medallion Home developed following the economic rebound after the Great Recession, is Kingsfield’s neighbor on the east side of Fort Hamer Road. North towards U.S. 301 highway, Kingsfield is bordered by the Lakeside Preserve and Forest Creek communities. On the south side of Old Tampa Road, the high-end development of River Wilderness Golf & Country Club sprawls opposite Kingsfield.

Centex developed Kingsfield with just the right amenities, given the many life and leisure attractions already available close to its side of Parrish. The common recreational facilities in this community include a kid’s playground, a basketball court, fenced pet-walking area, and a swimming pool with a spacious well-furnished deck and a cabana/bathhouse.

For all the residents’ convenience, Centex set three entrances/exits in the community. Two are accessible via Kingsfield Drive on Old Tampa Road (south) and Fort Hamer Road (east), and another south on Banbury Circle off Old Tampa Road.

Fort Hamer Park just a short distance south of Kingsfield amply augments the community’s recreational facilities. This park’s features include a boat ramp, dock, pavilion, and picnic tables. More leisure-oriented facilities are set for construction across the street at the 140-acre Hidden Harbour Park.

Significantly, these two parks are adjacent to Fort Hamer Bridge which since its opening in 2017 has shortened trips from Parrish southwards to Lakewood Ranch and Sarasota.

On the northern stretch of Fort Hamer Road at its intersection with U.S. 301, a new retail and commercial hub is likewise on the drawing boards. This commercial real estate project is but one of several either in the pipeline or nearing completion in Parrish, particularly near the junctions of Old Tampa Road, U.S. 301, and Erie Road.
