Living within such naturally preserved surroundings would not be complete without getting intimate with nature’s elusive creatures. Get up close and personal with the manatees, osprey, and herons—all of whom the major Florida places were distinctly named after—without actually disturbing their natural habitat. Such an experience can be overwhelming. But probably nothing comes close to the breathtaking beauty of a Sarasota sunset while on a cruise.
