Babcock Ranch Marketing Shifts to Overdrive

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, May 3rd, 2017 – Marketing for the solar-powered town Babcock Ranch in Charlotte County has shifted to overdrive with event after event being held to promote this new development off Florida State Road 31.

This April, a twice-a-week free live music show was launched at the Founder’s Square in the property’s downtown district. Immediately prior to this launch, Babcock Ranch also hosted a tour for members of the Realtors Association of Manatee and Sarasota who were given a peek of the first home models in this community.

A pet competition dubbed as “Bark in the Park” was also held at the development recently. This May, Babcock Ranch will hold its first Spring Picnic, featuring live music, dining, kayak rental discounts, and specials at Table & Tap, the community’s newly opened restaurant at Founder’s Square.

Drawing the Crowds

Babcock Ranch Marketing Shifts to Overdrive

The biggest event so far in the community was the development’s Founders Festival held on the March 11-12 weekend. This coming-out party for the development was reported to have attracted between 15,000 and 20,000 visitors. Some came from as far north as Naples, according to media accounts of this event.

One of the builders in Babcock Ranch, Stock Development, already had four models open for viewing during the festival. Located in Lake Timber, the first neighborhood in this town, these new residences feature floor areas ranging from 2,676 to 3,744 square feet mostly designed with three bedrooms. These homes, situated on 80-by-130-foot lots, are priced starting from the low $500s. Each model incorporates covered rear and front porches that allow the home to be lived in from front to back.

Models on the Spotlight

Homes by Towne also presented completed furnished models for festival guests. These builds have floor plans of 1,860 to 3,071 square feet and are base-priced at the mid-$300s.

Another Babcock Ranch builder, Florida Lifestyle Homes is completing its furnished Taylor model in the Lake Timber neighborhood at Babcock Ranch, which will be followed soon by two other home designs. The Taylor model, priced around the mid-$700s, features three bedrooms and three baths within a floor area of 2,500 square feet.

Varying home styles and floor plans will also be offered in Lake Timber by two other builders: Fox Premier Builders and Castle Harbour Homes. Fox Premier’s builds will have starting prices in the $300s, while Castle Harbour’s home prices will have a base price in the $500s.

Lennar Tapped for Second Neighborhood

An agreement has also been finalized recently for national homebuilder Lennar to build a yet unnamed second neighborhood in Babcock Ranch. This subdivision is planned for about 180 homes located just southeast of Founders Square.

Lennar will build in this new neighborhood a mix of split villas and single family homes following the theme of environment-friendly, front-porch oriented lifestyle in Babcock Ranch. The starting price of the villas have been set at about $180,000, while the single family homes’ base price will be around the low-$200s.

Other come-ons for visitors at Babcock Ranch, besides its home models and environment-friendly features, include the community’s discovery center and the outdoor retail shop Curry Creek Outfitters.
