BIA Struts Grander 2017 Parade of Homes

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, February 22nd 2017 – The Manatee‒Sarasota Building Industry Association (BIA) has again raised the excitement in this year’s edition of its Parade of Homes set February 18 up to March 5, with more home models entered in this annual builders’ showcase.

A total of 135 models are featured in this year’s Parade, up from the 110 participants in 2016 and from 93 in 2015. The 2017 entries consist of a collection of single family and multifamily home models in seven price ranges starting from under the mid-$100s up to the $900s-and-up price point. They range from residences in private gated communities, custom golf course homes, waterfront or beachfront properties, and houses in family-oriented urban developments.

These home showcases are spread out in several locations within Manatee and Sarasota counties, covering Ellenton and Bradenton from the north up to Englewood and North Port towards south. Six communities are vying for the best development award this year: The Concession, The Islands on the Manatee River, Harbour Isle on Anna Maria Sound, Mirabella, Palma Sola Bay and Lakewood Ranch.

Affordable, High-Quality Choices

BIA Struts Grander 2017 Parade of Homes

The president of BIA, Bill Smock, describes the 2017 Parade of Homes’ harvest as a collection of “outstanding model homes filled with the latest in new green designs and technologies for energy conservation and sustainability.” Smock notes too that this year’s Parade continues to showcase the traditional style of West Coast living in more affordable but high-quality and creative builds.

The Banbury neighborhood of Sarasota National would be an exciting destination for Parade of Homes visitors in search of affordable multifamily Sarasota homes for sale. WCI Communities has a model here for a two-bedroom, second-story coach home priced in the low $200s. In addition, this neighborhood offers sales listings in the upper $200s, featuring floor areas of up to 1,831 square feet.

For single family homes also in the $200s, national builder D.R. Horton has a Parade entry at the Rapalo community in Venice. This model is designed with three bedrooms and two baths within a floor area of 1,756 square feet. There are also new sales listings in this community—two pre-construction models at this price range with roughly the same square footage.

Luxury Homes on Parade

Close to the Sarasota downtown core, Legacy Builders has entered in the Parade its home showcase at the Homes of Laurel Park. This luxury home model is of two-story design and already featured amongst current listings of Sarasota homes for sale. It has 2,477 square feet of living space designed with three bedrooms and three baths, and offered in the $1-million-plus price range.

More luxury home models could be toured at Lake Club in Lakewood Ranch. Stockton Signature Homes has several Parade entries in this upscale community, two of which have also been listed amongst Lakewood Ranch homes for sale. These new residences feature floor plans of more than 4,000 square feet designed with up to four bedrooms. They carry tag prices in the million-dollar range and thus count among the top offerings at the 2017 Manatee‒Sarasota builders’ showcase.
