Bradenton, Sarasota Beachfronts Hug Limelight Anew


 

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, September, 13, 2013 – Longboat Key reaffirmed recently its lofty status as host to some of prime beachfront homes in Florida as the Clean Beaches Coalition awarded to its Whitney Beach the Blue Wave Certification, Sarasota Bay Real Estate reports. This standard is the first national environmental certification program developed to contribute in helping maintain healthy, robust and vibrant beaches.

Five other nearby beaches in Longboat Key and in Bradenton and Anna Maria Island have also received similar designations, thus underscoring the high intrinsic value of the area’s coastal communities. Also certified under the Clean Beaches Coalition standard are Anna Maria Beach, Holmes Beach, Manatee Beach, Cortez Beach and Coquina Beach.

Shining peers in the south

With this total of five in the area, Bradenton and Sarasota hold the bragging rights as having the most number of Blue Wave-certified beaches on the Florida Gulf Coast. Southward the Sarasota area, the Clean Beaches Coalition cited Venice Beach, Siesta Key Beach, Caspersen Beach and Lido Beach.

This April, Sarasota Bay also notes, that Whitney Beach, along with Sunset Beach in Tarpon Springs, was cited as the 2013 cleanest beach in the website Health Beaches Program. Regular samplings by local health officials showed that these beaches were the most bacteria-free.

Some of the prime property choices at the Whitney Beach area can be found at the Sleepy Lagoon Park. The current MLS has three available properties in this subdivision, Sarasota Bay Real Estate points out. Topping this list is a luxury bayfront estate home having six bedrooms in its floor area of close to 9,000 square feet and an asking price of $7.65 million. A small, canal front alternative at this community is priced in the mid $700s, featuring three bedrooms in its floor space measuring 2,100-plus square feet.

Echoes in the north

Toward north at the Anna Maria Beach, the available options slide down under the $500s. Anna Maria Island, besides having its namesake beach Blue Wave-certified, was likewise cited No. 4 among the TripAdvisor® Travelers’ Choice® Islands top 10 awards. This citation was based on opinions and reviews of TripAdvisor travelers. Florida holds the distinction of having five out of the top 10 U.S. islands. Also cited were the Sunshine State’s Key West, Amelia Island, Sanibel Island, and Marco Island.

Rich home choices

Home hunting on Anna Maria, Sarasota Bay Real Estate says, can start in a charming 646-square-foot cottage with two bedrooms and one bath currently offered at $369,000. This property is a short walk from the beach and shops are likewise nearby.

There are some price reductions on the MLS-listed properties in this neighborhood too that are worth considering, the full service realty firm notes. One is a three-bedroom residence with two baths in its floor area of 1,640 square feet and carrying a tag price of $539,500.

For the more affordably priced choices, the equally pristine Holmes Beach has several desirable alternatives. At its Seaside Gardens neighborhood, there’s a sales-listed, one-bedroom residence having a floor area of 688 square feet and priced at $159,000.  The Sunbow Bay community in this beach area has available homes for sale with asking prices in the $200s, featuring two bedrooms in floor plans of 1,100-plus square feet.
