Located at Sawyer Loop Road and McIntosh Road, Cobblestone sits on about 70 acres planned for 180 homes at the southern end of Palmer Ranch. This community is being developed under the principles of Taylor Morrison’s signature Esplanade active lifestyle brand of resort-style neighborhoods.

Sarasota homes for sale in this new community are available in nine single-family residential designs at prices starting around the mid-$300s. These residences range in size from 1,689 to 2,929 square feet, featuring two to three bedrooms with a den.

Lakes and natural wetlands are among the central features of Cobblestone’s exquisite landscaping design. A gated entrance with detailing inspired by California Tuscan architecture will likewise serve as one of this community’s hallmarks.

Characteristic of Taylor Morrison’s Esplanade developments, an enticing collection of luxurious amenities are on the drawing boards for Cobblestone. Besides its recent groundbreaking at Cobblestone at Palmer Ranch, Taylor Morrison has also started development and marketing for Bayside, a waterfront property in Osprey fronting Little Sarasota Bay. Only 49 homes are planned in this new community which occupies the 22-acre site of a former mobile home park at Sarabay Road, Osprey, off Casey Key and within easy access to Siesta Key Beach.

Bayside is envisioned as gated and well landscaped community with a three-acre preserve and lake. Planned community facilities include a paddleboard and kayak launch, waterfront boardwalk, and a private dock.

More picks on the horizon

Taylor Morrison is yet to announce pricing for Bayside, and it’s nearly certain this homebuilder has yet another Sarasota development forthcoming. In December 2014, after paying $7.5 million for the Bayside site, it shelled out an additional $19 million for the purchase of 165 acres off Mission Valley Road, Nokomis.

The new major investments of Taylor Morrison in Sarasota appears being propelled by the substantial war chest that it got late last year from the sale of its Canadian unit which has been estimated at $284 million.
