SARASOTA, FLORIDA, May 2nd, 2017 – The active listings inventory of single family homes continues to grow in the Sarasota region even as the peak spring selling season is now on its tail-end.

Splitting the price segments of resale properties, prospective buyers of Sarasota homes for sale will find more choices in the $200,000–$299,999 price range with a total of 739 listings as of March. This represents an increase of about 22 percent compared to a year earlier and sustains similar double-digit gains during the first two months of 2017.

DR Horton Ramps Up Listings

The residences in this community are builds from 2011 to 2013 by top national homebuilder DR Horton with floor areas of between 1,340 and 1,550 square feet designed with two to three bedrooms.

Another DR Horton community, the Rapalo in Venice, is likewise amongst the new homebuilding projects adding to the market inventory of homes with tag prices in the $200s. Recent listings in this property are three-bedroom homes set in floor areas ranging from 1,522 to 1,828 square feet.

These pre-owned Sarasota homes for sale were built around 2007‒2008 and have floor plans of between 1,540 and 2,250 square feet in either three- or four-bedroom designs. The community’s facilities include a recreation area with a heated pool.
