SARASOTA, FLORIDA, February 7th, 2014 – With exciting new neighborhoods added to its older communities, Lakewood Ranch successfully wound up its annual Tour of Homes last November. The foot traffic to this showcase was reported to have risen some 25% last year, boosted by better economic conditions and by the superior offerings of some of the country’s top builders. All told, visitors and aspiring buyers had access to 41 models from 15 builders in this extravaganza of residential choices.
The spate of seasonal events at the Main Street of Lakewood Ranch likewise added to the drawing power of the three-week Tour which started in late October. The Tour also brought focus to some home options from Lennar around these price levels. Designed with four to six bedrooms, these choices consist of the Stanford, Oxford, and Cambridge Grande having floor areas ranging from about 2,500 to 3,800 square feet.
The Lakewood Ranch home show likewise gave further market exposure to Lennar’s Bridgewater where the homebuilder offers its Manor homes in single and two-story designs ranging in size from 2,245 square feet and priced starting at slightly under the $300s. Then, there’s the Cambira of Homes by Towne priced a shade under the $500s for its floor plan of 2,830 square feet featuring 3 bedrooms and 3 baths. Around the mid-$500s, Lee Wetherington had its Solivita bet with 3 bedrooms and 2 baths within its floor area of 3,315 square feet.
Rounding out the Tour’s showcase were the luxury models, many of which were at Lakewood Ranch’s The Vineyards neighborhood. These prime builds having tag prices around the $1 million mark came from the drawing boards of Tod Johnston, John Cannon, and Arthur Rutenberg.
