Lincoln Park is a small but impressive community that offers upscale Sarasota’s “West of the Trail” real estate options. It is located on the southern outskirts of downtown just off South Osprey Avenue. Past deals on Lincoln Park homes for sale showed that ownership of a four-bedroom, 3,612-square-foot residence built in 2002 in a lot of 8,616 square feet changed hands for around $400,000. A $1.02-million transaction has also been recorded for a house built in 2002 within a lot measuring 11,586 square feet. The home’s features include four bedrooms, two baths and half in a floor plan of about 3,250 square feet.

Schools near the community—Alta Vista Elementary School, Sarasota School off Arts/Sciences and Sarasota High—make Lincoln Park the right choice for families with growing kids. The Achievement Center, a support learning institution, is also close to the neighborhood. As favorable, the refreshing ambience afforded by the nearby Lukewood Park finds a strong echo at the 10-acre Selby Gardens, home to exotic plant species, a short distance northwest of the neighborhood.

Shopping at the Crossroads Center southeast of the community near the junction of Mound Street and Tamiami can easily graduate to kaleidoscopic choices at the downtown’s Main Street Merchants.
