New Luxury Condo Adds to Golden Gate Point Glamor

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, November 27th, 2013 – The recent announcement that sales is being launched for AQUA, a waterfront luxury condo tower at the 22-acre Golden Gate Point Peninsula, came at a very opportune timing, Sarasota Bay Real Estate reports. It notes that for September, it was estimated that sales of luxury condos or units priced from the $700s upward to over the $1 million level rose by a remarkable 367% from the sales last year.  Notably, one of the luxury condo deals for the month was for a 3,751-square-foot unit in at the Ritz Carlton Residences only a short distance northeast of the AQUA location.

This new direct waterfront development, envisioned to add another landmark to Sarasota’s skyline, is programmed for just eight units. Each will occupy an entire floor with living areas ranging from 3,800 to 6,700 square feet. Their pricing is from $3.495 million to $5.695 million. These residences will each have private two-car garages and individual boat slips.

Art and architecture attractions

Aqua on Golden Gate Point

The planned amenities at the AQUA include state-of-the-art security and full-time concierge. Other facilities on the drawing boards are a bayside infinity pool, putting green, lounge area, yoga studio, and massage and facial room.

Guy Peterson | Office for Architecture designed the AQUA in association with Tichenor Group and Sivitz Innovative Designs. The condominium’s modern design will showcase the style of the Sarasota School of Architecture which is currently enjoying a revival.

Luxury and elegance will be the hallmarks of living in this condominium. Future residents will enjoy the water views afforded in most of the residential properties at the Golden Gate Point. For such viewpoints, each unit will be oriented toward west. The AQUA’s lobby will feature curated contemporary art, and its corridor leading to Sarasota Bay will be lined with artworks gallery-style.

Trappings of a luxurious lifestyle

The AQUA condos will have open floor plans and up to 12-foot ceilings to further accentuate the condos’ spacious lifestyle. Fine custom millwork throughout each residence will likewise enhance the condominium’s luxurious trappings.

European designer cabinets with under lighting, imported granite and stone countertops, and top-of-the-line appliances and fixtures are also the standards of luxury that will go into each AQUA dwelling. A louver-covered roof deck enabling spectacular city and water views will be incorporated into the condominium and thus provide an expansive area for the residents’ socials and entertaining.

Few available Golden Gate Point units

The AQUA project should help ease the thinning local condo inventory which was placed at 4 months’ supply in September. Sarasota Bay Real Estate observes that out of 14 condominium communities at Golden Gate Point, only about a dozen luxury condo properties are currently listed among Sarasota condos for sale.

Many of these listings are in the 22-unit La Bellasara where a three-bedroom unit with a floor area of 3,135 square feet is priced at $1.395 million. A furnished penthouse in this condo is currently in the market with an asking price of $5.795 million, featuring three bedrooms and four baths in its floor area of 6,066 square feet. A pair of listings can also be found at the Vista Bay Point where one of these units has a quoted price of $1.595 million for its 3,317-square-foot floor plan having two bedrooms and two baths.
