Sarasota Luxury Condos for Sale Tease Florida Buyers


 

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, March 6, 2019 – By now, Sarasota should be looking brighter on the radar screen of buyers searching for luxury condos in Florida. High-end units from at least a dozen local condominium construction projects, most of which are rising in downtown Sarasota, have begun pre-selling on the market just recently.

Significantly, luxury condos counted as the most vibrant market segment for multifamily dwellings in Florida last year. In 2018, sales of condo units priced from $1 million and above rose 21 percent to 3,047 to top the percentage increase in all other price segments.

Luxury condo sales activity was likewise brisk statewide, with median time to contract down nearly 18 percent for the whole of 2018. The pace further stepped up in January this year during which median time to contract slipped by close to 30 percent to 81 days.

At this price point, a unit here was listed on the market this February and features one bedroom, one bath and a half-bath within its living area of 958 square feet.

An ever broader price range of pre-construction condos in the $300s up to the $800s are also now posted at The Bayside Club on 800 Cocoanut Avenue. The blueprint of these condos are set for units with one to two bedrooms within living areas of between 767 and 1,746 square feet.
