Its coverage extends beyond the 56-mile long coastal lagoon which comprises of one large segment of Sarasota Bay (Big Sarasota Bay) and its smaller embayments (Palma Sola Bay in the north, and Roberts Bay, Little Sarasota Bay, and Blackburn Bay to the south).
The agency’s scope also covers several creeks and streams that meander from the region’s watershed area and flow into the bay. These primary tributaries include Bowlees Creek, Palma Sola Creek, Phillippi Creek, Catfish Creek, North Creek, South Creek, Whitaker Bayou, and Hudson Bayou. Notably, many prime communities are located around or near these waterways.
Sarasota Bay Real Estate observes that the USA citation on the city’s waterfront allure is quite apropos to the brisk market activity for residential properties in such a locality.
