South County Neighborhoods Strut New Amenity Centers

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, September 30th, 2016 – Three communities in South County, two of them new developments, recently announced construction of new amenity centers that should further enhance marketability of their residential properties in listings of Sarasota homes for sale.

At the well-established golf community of The Oaks Club in Osprey, construction began in July of 2016 for a $2.5 million WellFit Center to round out the wide array of amenities already available to its residents and club members. A 7,500-square-foot facility, this new fitness and wellness center is set for completion in March 2017.

It will provide more besides cardiovascular and strength training facilities and personal trainers. The WellFit Center will also have treatment rooms for physical therapy and massage, as well as a room for group sessions.

The new amenity center, which overlooks greens and fairways, would be an apt complement to the club’s current amenities. Included here are two championship golf courses, 12 Har-Tru tennis courts, a croquet playing court, and a pool complex. The club likewise features a guest lodge and a 40,000-square-foot Georgian-style clubhouse with three restaurants.

Caribbean Village Shapes Up Fast

Also in July, construction of an amenity center was started at the Caribbean Village, a new community of national homebuilder D.R. Horton. The amenities being built in this development at the northwest corner of East Venice Avenue and West River Road include a clubhouse, a resort-style pool, a fitness center, and bocce ball courts. All these facilities are expected to be completed in fall 2016.

Three nature preserves and five lakes are also being developed at the Caribbean Village which is rising as a gated, maintenance-included enclave of 187 single family homes. This development began in 2015, offering choices on one- and two-story home models. These residences have floor spaces of between 1,804 and 3,148 square feet designed with three to four bedrooms, two to four-and-a-half baths, plus either a two- or three-car garage. In current listings of Sarasota homes for sale, properties in this community are priced ranging from the high $200s up to the $400s.

Milano’s Debut in North Venice

At the Milano in North Venice, a new amenity center with resort-style facilities was opened August. Its offerings include a clubhouse with a gathering and activity room, café seating area and catering kitchen. The center’s outdoor features are as impressive to prospective buyers of Sarasota homes for sale, with its covered seating area, bocce ball courts, pool and spa, and a dog park.

A development of regional builder Neal Communities, the Milano is located in a 368-acre site south of Laurel Road and east of Interstate 75. Over half of its acreage has been designated as open space.

This community is programmed for a total of 969 single-family homes and multi-family units. It will also feature villas with floor plans starting at 1,407 square feet and priced from the $200s.

The floor areas of single-family homes at the Milano start at 2,233 square feet, with six new designs to choose from out of the 12 models available in this community, which surely has further enriched buyer selections of Sarasota homes for sale in Venice.
