Spice Bay: Hotspot for Siesta Key Homes for Sale

SARASOTA, FLORIDA, March 22nd, 2017 – Spice Bay is poised for an even larger presence in the upbeat luxury home market in Siesta Key this year after a record sale was closed in this gated community in January.

Nautilus Homes, the builder of this recently sold residence, has broken ground for a new Spice Bay construction. Meanwhile, two other custom builds for this community are on the drawing boards of London Bay Homes.

The new construction of Nautilus Homes is located just across the recent Spice Bay sale at Sharswood Lane. The builder’s new offering, sales-listed early this March, features a floor area of 4,827 square feet designed with four bedrooms and carries a tag price of close to $3.1 million, one of the priciest among new listings of Siesta Key homes for sale.

Venice Home Market Is Sizzling Hot

This home is slated for completion this year and has an outstanding pedigree. Its design, called the “Shearwater,” comes from Nautilus Homes’ award-winning Jewel Box® home collection vaunted for superiority in layout, features, and finish.

The banner Spice Bay home sale in January was also notably a Jewel Box® rendition and one of the winners in the 2010 Sarasota‒Manatee Parade of Homes. Sold for $2.235 million, this residence features three bedrooms, three baths and a half-bath within a floor area of 3,765 feet, typifying Nautilus’ smart-sized homes designed for entertaining and relaxed luxurious living.

As for London Bay, the homes it is building in Spice Bay are part of its Sarasota Collection and are both of two-story design with floor plans of about 5,000 square feet. One of these two, the Somerset, features three bedrooms and has an asking price close to $3 million. The other, the Mandeville, is a four-bedroom model priced at $5.125 million.

Exclusive Bayfront Enclave

The Spice Bay community is composed of just 14 home sites on over eight acres east of Midnight Pass Road with 450 feet of its acreage fronting Sarasota Bay. A Sarasota waterfront development specialist, Perrone Construction, conceptualized this subdivision around the West Indies design.

Perrone representatives toured the Caribbean to bring in an authentic Colonial West Indies style to the features and architecture of Spice Bay. This painstaking effort is at once evident in the community’s impressive entranceway and the exquisite landscaping within the subdivision.

A Boating Community

Majestic oaks and lush tropical foliage, along with shady cobblestone roads, create a perfect setting for the Spice Bay residences. The distinctive verandas and plantation-style shutters of these homes further enhance the community’s Caribbean island theme. As an added charm, all homes have dock access while 11 of the residences have private, deeded boat slips.

Located on the southern stretch of the island, Spice Bay too is in an illustrious neighborhood which has the bragging rights for having the priciest Siesta Key homes for sale. Just across it is the sprawling enclave of Sanderling Club which hosts the Aquidisia, now on the market for $16.95 million as the highest-priced home for sale in Siesta Key. Another Sanderling residence, Infinity, was sales listed early this year for $7.8 million, further underscoring the upbeat activity of the high-end market in and around Spice Bay.
