SARASOTA, FLORIDA, September 7th, 2016 – The upswing in residential property values in Bradenton for the past 12 months looks sustainable. A wealth of pipelined public and private construction projects promises to take the city’s growth to a new level and thus help spur market interest on Bradenton homes for sale particularly those in and around the downtown district.
Work, for one, is slated to start by year-end of 2016 at the planned Springs Hill Suites Hotel at the former site of the Manatee Players theater across the city hall and downtown marina. This $4.5 million project includes a reconfiguration of the marina’s eastern section to add 129 new boat slips, mostly for larger vessels. Notably, the marina’s historic Pier 22 restaurant already had a $400,000 makeover recently.
Another downtown attraction, the South Florida Museum on 10th Street West just east of the marina, is set for a $12 million expansion starting June 2017. This project envisions a “museum of the future,” featuring new interactive exhibits and a hands-on learning center with technology, science, math and engineering as its focal points.
Amongst city residents most elated by these developments are those living in River Dance which is walking distance east of the marina and the museum. This condominium, remodeled recently, is by itself contributing to the upbeat vibe of downtown Bradenton.
