Sarasota and Manatee counties are expecting some 40,000 visitors from more than 60 countries to converge at the Nathan Benderson Park from September 24 to October 1, 2017 for the World Rowing Championship. This event, the first time in 23 years that it’s held in the U.S., is expected to be covered by nine international TV networks, in addition to coverage from domestic U.S. stations.
