SARASOTA, FLORIDA, June 22nd, 2016 – The Pennsylvania-based convenience store chain Wawa is one commercial enterprise definitely upbeat on the prospects of Southwest Florida’s residential property sector. In Peridia currently, there are 16 sales-listed homes. Priced from the low $100s up to the $300s, they feature floor areas of between 1,190 and 2,500 square feet designed with two to four bedrooms.

Home sales are as bubbly at a neighboring subdivision, Sabal Harbour, which too counts as one of the target markets of Wawa’s new outlet in Manatee. Located off 45th Street E a short distance north of the retail chain’s new outlet, this community posted since January 2016 close to a dozen home sales with tag prices in the $200s and $300s. These residences feature floor plans ranging from 1,500 to 2,860 square feet, designed with three to four bedrooms. Just three Bradenton homes for sale are currently available in this community. One is a new listing for a four-bedroom home with a floor area of close to 2,400 square feet and an asking price in the low $300s.

Sarasota’s first Wawa

The other store that Wawa recently opened is its first in Sarasota and is located at 3703 N. Washington Blvd corner Myrtle Street. In particular, it will be a boon for North Sarasota residents, especially those living in Newtown just west of this amenity-rich convenience store.

Wawa’s North Sarasota presence will likewise help the ongoing revitalization efforts in this locality largely dominated by Sarasota homes for sale at lower-end price levels. Typically, the Sarasota homes for sale in Newtown are three-bedroom residences priced in the $100s with floor plans ranging from about 900 square feet to approximately 1,700 square feet.

An Add-on in Venice

Several communities in Venice appear on the crosshairs of Wawa’s planned location near the Jacaranda exit off Interstate 75 where ground work is expected to begin June 2016. One of these neighborhoods is the Blue Heron Pond at the corner of Jacaranda and East Venice Avenue just south of the 37-acre Wawa site.

This community offers some of the most desirable homes for sale in Venice. Just six of its residences have been listed on the market so far in 2016, five of which have already landed a buyer. The typical residences available in Blue Heron Pond are priced between the high $200s and the $300s. They come in enticing three-bedroom designs within floor plans in the 1,800‒2,150-square-foot range, plus loads of local amenities including a Wawa convenience shop expected to open in 2017.
