SARASOTA, FLORIDA, June 20th, 2016 – Positive ripple effects are expected to be generated soon by the massive Waterside expansion of Lakewood Ranch (LWR) into Sarasota County, benefiting in particular communities near Fruitville Road, like Tatum Ridge and Palmer Reserve.
As early as the 2017 second quarter, road travel towards north from this Fruitville locality will have alternative routes besides traffic-prone Interstate 75. This convenience and added perk to Sarasota homes for sale in the area will result from several road projects underway which are an integral part of the 5,940-acre Waterside property development that broke ground in April 2016.
These support infrastructures include four-lane extensions of Lakewood Ranch Boulevard and Lorraine Road southward through Waterside and onward to Fruitville Road. To further improve traffic mobility throughout this area, LWR developer Schroeder Manatee Ranch (SMR) is likewise looking into the construction of an overpass between Waterside and Cattlemen Road to divert traffic from Interstate 75.
Formerly called the Villages of Lakewood Ranch South, Waterside is planned for 12 neighborhoods with a total of 5,144 residences that will certainly boost the stock of Sarasota homes for sale. Marketing of Sarasota homes for sale at Waterside is slated to start in 2017. Its initial builders are Pulte Homes, which has 246 homes planned, and Homes by Towne set with 571 residences.
Immediately south of Waterside, some pre-owned Sarasota homes for sale are currently available at the gated residential neighborhood of Tatum Ridge Golf Links. A pair of three-bedroom residences was recently listed here with asking prices in the $300s, featuring floor plans of 1,672 and 2,338 square feet.
Picturesque lake and preserve views are amongst the attractions of Sarasota homes for sale in this community where maintenance is included in the HOA fees. The adjacent golf links is a Scottish-style public course designed by Ted McAnlis incorporating lush nature preserves and wetlands with 11 lakes.
