Auteur is a new condominium tower set on a 1.23-acre site near the bayfront of downtown Sarasota. Its site is on the block of 1000 Boulevard of the Arts within a parcel where the Hyatt Regency Sarasota is now located.

This location is just west of the North Tamiami Trail and already a prime destination for prospective buyers of high-end Sarasota condos for sale. Beau Ciel and the twin towers of Condo on the Bay, all upscale condominiums, are notably just west of the Auteur’s site.

Impressive Pedigree

BOTA Development Holdings LLC, a consortium which includes the Ascentia Development Group, a Sarasota-based company, is the developer behind Auteur. Ascentia was notably also behind the construction of the nearby Beau Ciel condominium as well as the Aria and en Provence condos both located on Longboat Key.

BOTA planned Auteur as an 18-story condominium with 55 luxury units. In addition to these high-end Sarasota condos for sale, the property’s blueprint also calls for two ground-floor units which will be marketed as affordable rental housing aimed at local renters earning the equivalent of 80 percent of the Sarasota median income. Budgeted for a total of $170 million, Auteur will additionally feature restaurant and retail space on its ground level.

Auteur as a brand was inspired by the French word for an artist, originator or author with original and distinctive style or practice. The condominium’s theme thus invites residents who seek a place where they themselves would be able to create their personal lifestyle and vision.

Superior design elements have been incorporated in this condominium in order to draw the interest of prospective buyers of high-end Sarasota condos for sale. Its developers are also hoping that the property’s location near the city’s The Bay project would further build buying interest on Auteur condos for sale.

Pre-construction Offers

Pre-selling of Auteur’s condo units began February 2019, with two of these luxury residences listed on the MLS of Sarasota condos for sale. One came with a price tag of close to $2.16 million, featuring a floor area approaching 3,000 square feet designed with three bedrooms, three baths and a half-bath plus a two-car garage.

The other unit is a larger condo, with its asking price quoted at close to $4.8 million. It is designed with three bedrooms, three baths and a half-bath within its floor plan of about 4,220 square feet.

Touches of uncommon artistry are hallmarks of Auteur condos for sale, as BOTA recruited the topnotch designer ForrestPerkins to render the residential units’ interiors. Each unit would come with glass walls to bring the scenic views of Sarasota Bay into the condos’ open floor plans.

The construction of Auteur is scheduled to start in the fourth quarter of 2019. Initial occupancy is targeted for the third quarter of 2022, with full completion expected by the end of that year.
