Indigo Lakewood Ranch

Indigo is a well-planned residential development in Lakewood Ranch, tucked at the northeast corner of White Eagle Boulevard and 44th Avenue West. Its developer, Neal Communities, launched this community in May 2015, and it instantly became one of the leading destinations for searchers of newly built Lakewood Ranch homes for sale.

The market reception on Indigo was so strong that less than a year after its launch, Neal obtained county approval to expand the project to 590 units on 200 acres from its initial plan of about 400 homes within approximately 150 acres. The additional residences are set east of White Eagle Boulevard and north of 44th Avenue extension.

Neal is offering a mix of single family homes and villas in Indigo which eventually came out as a three-phased development. The wide variety of Indigo’s residential designs has been matched by the rich collection of amenities in this community.

Set as a gated, active-lifestyle neighborhood, Indigo features a $1.6 million clubhouse with a fitness center, social room and café kitchen. Other community facilities include a lap pool and spa, plus bocce ball and pickle ball courts. The clubhouse, called Club Indigo, has a full-time activity director in charge of in-house community events as well as outings.

All in all, Neal offers 15 home designs to choose from at Indigo. The floor areas of Indigo homes for sale measure between 1,400 and 3,000 square feet with choices on two- to four-bedroom layouts. Pricing of 2017 move-in ready homes at Indigo ranges from the $300s up to the $500s.

Homes with Lake Views

Many of the home sites in this community overlook lakes while others back up to shady and mature oaks meticulously preserved in the property’s development. Convenient for its residents, Indigo is a maintenance-included community which likewise enjoys proximity to the new facilities being put up in the northern part of Lakewood Ranch.

North of Indigo, the master developer of Lakewood Ranch, Schroeder-Manatee Ranch, has laid the groundwork for the 697-acre, mixed-use Lakewood Centre. Targeted for a 2026 buildout, this project is set for 1 million square feet of office and commercial space plus new residences.

Parks in the Neighborhood

Two parks are also part of this project, one of which is the 40.55-acre multi-purpose Community Park. Its facilities include pavilions, outdoor playing fields a dog park, tot lots and walking trails. This park will connect to over 150 miles of Lakewood Ranch trails and sidewalks via White Eagle Boulevard and Wood Fern Trail.

Just across the street from Indigo, Schroeder Manatee Ranch and the Manatee County Parks and Recreation Department have also joined hands for a 20-acre park at the northwest corner of 44th Avenue and White Eagle Boulevard.

A commercial hub is likewise set a short distance south of Indigo at the northeast corner of Lorraine Road and State Road 70. Called Lorraines Corner, this new retail center is anchored on a Publix supermarket. Walgreens and Wawa retail outlets, in addition to restaurants, are already operating across this site.

All these come-ons for prospective buyers of Indigo homes for sale are complemented by an array of life and leisure venues at the Main Street of Lakewood Ranch. Easily accessible via Lakewood Ranch Boulevard, this lifestyle hub offers not only shopping and dining. It also regularly hosts plenty of special events, such as Music on Main held each first Friday of the month.
