Milano is an Italian-inspired development of Neal Communities located east of Jacaranda Boulevard and bounded north by Laurel Road and south by Border Road in North Venice. This community occupies a 383-acre site developed for a rich selection of Venice homes for sale.

Erstwhile proposed as the Villages of Milano, this community started taking shape sometime in 2014 after the Venice City Council approved a rezoning of its site from residential multi-family-1 to a planned unit development. This move allowed Neal to build a mix of 700 single family homes and attached villas at the parcel spreading just across south of the Venetian Golf and River Club.

Eco-friendly Village

The rezoning significantly reduced the home density of the Milano site formerly zoned for 1,840 houses of up to three stories tall. The project’s footprint was also downsized so as to preserve much of the property’s natural environment and wildlife habitat therein.

Towards this end, Milano homes for sale were platted in tight clusters in order to conserve much of the property’s 123 acres of wetlands. Use of impervious or concrete material in the property’s development was also minimized to reduce the project’s impact on the natural environment. As a result, the neighborhood’s roads are narrower and have sidewalks just on one side.

Resort-style Living

Neal, however, went all out in providing resort-style amenities for Milano residents. The community’s amenity center which opened in August 2016 is of Tuscan-theme inspiration. Its indoor features include a gathering area and activity room plus a catering kitchen and café seating area.

The center’s outdoor facilities are likewise full of choices, such as a pool and spa, a pavilion with seating area and fireplace, and a dog park. Milano promises a full calendar of social events as well, with an activities coordinator onsite to manage them.

With all these attractions in place, Milano homes for sale are among Neal’s bestsellers in all of its Southwest Florida communities. In 2017, some 30 sales of newly built residences were recorded in this vibrant community.

The villas at Milano are popular choices amongst buyers at their attractive pricing in the $200, featuring two to three bedrooms within floor areas of about 1,500 square feet. Owners of Neal-built villas enjoy a maintenance-included home providing a package covering the upkeep of lawns, trees and shrubs, as well as exterior pest control, fertilizer, exterior repainting and roof replacement.

The single family homes of Milano are also as salable at their price points in the $300s, with various upgrades included such as main-area wood flooring and granite kitchen countertops. Typically, these residences would have three bedrooms and up to three baths.

Nearby Points of Interest

In addition to these fine home features, Milano residences are convenient to the attractions in North Venice. One is the Venice Myakka River Park located a short distance east of the community. This park features a kayak launch and extensive walking trails.
The strategic highway I-75, in addition, is only a short drive west of Milano to give its residents quick access to the life and leisure centers in Sarasota and Lakewood Ranch. Nearby road corridors leading west likewise can bring Milano residents to the popular local beaches.
