Lake Arrowhead is a condominium complex off South Beneva Road directly adjacent south of the nature park Red Bug Slough Preserve. It is tucked on the northeastern edge of Gulf Gate Estates, one popular destination in searches of suburban Sarasota homes for sale.

The Lakehouse West Retirement Estate on Fox Run Road is across the large lake which spreads on the western side of this community. Nathaniel Place, a gated community of single family homes on Beneva Road, is across east of Lake Arrowhead.

Lake Arrowhead was developed in the early 1980s, with its Beneva Road entrance about half a mile south of Proctor Road standing out along this stretch. The community’s frontage features lush tree buffers, and exquisite landscaping with a replica of the famed “Little Mermaid” sculpture in Germany marks the entry to Lake Arrowhead.

Lake Arrowhead residents enjoy a quiet community setting. It helps a lot that there is no thru-traffic within the community. Moreover, Lake Arrowhead has only one internal street—Arrowhead Lake Trail—which conveniently loops around the property and all its home sites.

There are 64 residential units in Lake Arrowhead. All are housed in two-story buildings clustered either next to the lake west of the property or near the community’s pond opposite east of the Key West-style clubhouse of Lake Arrowhead.

The community’s clubhouse features a spacious social area for regular holiday gatherings, parties, as well as residents’ seminars and meetings. It also provides outdoor parking for residents and guests.

Beside the clubhouse, there is a fishing pier and a swimming pool with a well-furnished deck overlooking the lake. The nearby pond further exudes charm with its fountain and waterfall. Quite endearing, water birds are frequent visitors too, both in the property’s pond and its nearby lake.

This condominium complex, given its convenient location, is ideal for snowbirds and those who want to relocate permanently to Sarasota. Outdoor recreational activities are easily accessible in the 72-acre nature preserve, Red Bug Slough just north of Lake Arrowhead. The community is also a short drive to Interstate 75 connecting to various points of interest not only in Sarasota but also to those in Lakewood Ranch and Bradenton.

Closer to home in Sarasota, the choices of life and leisure destinations include the world-famous Siesta Key Beach only some 5 miles west of Lake Arrowhead. Downtown Sarasota and its lifestyle attractions are also easily accessible with just a 7-mile drive north of this community.
