Parkridge is a condominium complex consisting of townhouses in north Sarasota along University Parkway. This enclave is just about a quarter of a mile east of University Parkway’s intersection with Lockwood Ridge Road, another corridor pivotal to searches of Sarasota real estate for sale. As equally compelling to prospective buyers, Parkridge sits between two major highways; it is about 2 miles east of U.S. 301 and 3 miles west of Interstate 75.

Gated and private, Parkridge is a development of Centex Homes, a Dallas, Texas-based homebuilder specialized in the entry-level and move-up market of the home construction industry. Centex developed Parkridge around 2003 and built it out in sometime in 2006 (henceforth in 2009, this Dallas builder was acquired by the giant conglomerate Pulte Group).

Other Parkridge condos are on lots backing up to greenbelts that serve as buffer from a mix of neighboring residential and commercial properties.

The innovative diverging diamond in this intersection, which opened in 2017, allows safe and convenient access to an even wider selection of life and leisure activities. These destinations include those in Lakewood Ranch, unlocked by arterial roads to the east. Southward, the points of interest are opened by road connectors to Sarasota and its arts and culture district plus the Gulf Coast beaches of Lido and Siesta Key.

Northward, the lifestyle destinations are as numerous and easily accessible. Among the more prominent picks are those in Bradenton including its downtown attractions and local nature parks that further enhance the quality of life for Parkridge residents.
