Moss Creek Homes for Sale

Moss Creek is an infill residential development in east Bradenton by David Weekley Homes. This Houston, Texas-based builder launched marketing of this community sometime in May 2018, positioning it under the company’s Imagination brand geared towards value-conscious first-time and downshifting home buyers.

Moss Creek occupies a site of nearly 44 acres wedged between 37th and 30th Streets East in these roadways’ intersection with State Road 70. Southwest of this community is the well-established Garden Lakes development while Braden Crossings, also an older community, spreads southeast of Moss Creek.

Lakes, pocket parks, and a tot lot are set for this community previously proposed as the Westport development which the Manatee County Commission approved in 2016 for 158 units in two lot sizes and residential types with “new urbanism” design elements. Phase 1 of this project has a final plat approval for 74 single family homes.

Six-design Lineup

Moss Creek Homes for Sale

David Weekley has set six single-family home designs in Moss Creek, with two models programmed for completion in 2018, both of which are one-story construction. One of these is the “Hacienda” with a floor plan measuring 1,841 square feet good for two to three bedrooms and two baths, plus a two-car garage.

The other David Weekley model home set at Moss Creek is the “Gemstone” design featuring a floor area of about 2,400 square feet in three- to four-bedroom configurations with up to three baths and a half-bath plus a three-car garage. Pricing for this model and the Hacienda starts at the $300s.

David Weekley is also offering two-story builds at Moss Creek. One of these, the “Alstonia,” has a floor area of 2,213 square feet designed with three to four bedrooms, two full baths and a half-bath plus a two-car garage. “Saltillo,” another two-story design available for this community ranges in floor space from 2,658 to 2,671 square feet with four bedrooms and two baths plus a two-car garage.

David Weekley’s home construction is noted for energy-efficient features such as LED light fixtures, radiant barrier roof decking, and vinyl double pane windows. This builder also boasts of an on-site design center and designer to help buyers personalize their choices.

Area Attractions Abound

John H Marble Park

The amenities of the nearby John H. Marble Park on 37th Street East just across SR 70 add up to the quality of living in Moss Creek. This seven-acre park features a pool, pavilion, picnic tables and benches, restrooms plus a playground, RC race track, and facilities for tennis, basketball and bocce ball.

Living in Moss Creek is likewise convenient to the shops and restaurants at Lockwoods Commons just east of the community. Tara Elementary, Braden River Middle and Braden River High, as well as Lakewood Ranch High, are some of the schools serving the Moss Creek area.

Via SR 70 and Interstate 75, Moss Creek residents can easily access the Mall at the University Town Center and at the Main Street of Lakewood Ranch for more choices on shopping and dining as well as recreational activities. U.S. 301 and Lockwood Ridge Road too are corridors near this community which enable access southward to downtown Sarasota and its cultural and lifestyle attractions. Notably, these roads are also arterial to the gateways of the famous Gulf Coast beaches which helped shape demand for homes for sale in Bradenton and Sarasota.
