Riverview Landings Real Estate for Sale – Bradenton, Florida 34209

Riverview Landings

New sales listings at Riverview Landings seldom come by in the Bradenton real estate market not so much that this community consists of just about 50 residences. The properties in this community rarely become available to buyers because many of them are custom-made homes, labors of love which sentimental resident families would want to keep for generations.

Moreover, the community’s locality is quite endearing as it is very much part of Florida’s rich heritage. Records indicate that it was in this elevated area where the expedition of Spanish conquistador Hernando de Soto may have landed in 1539 in their exploration of Tampa Bay. Riverview Landings, which faces the area where the Manatee River joins the bay, were then occupied by Native American Indians, some middens or shell mounds of whom still remain within the community.

Upscale and unique homes

Riverview Landings

Earnest development of the property’s Palma Sola peninsula area didn’t come until the early 1920s when palm-tree and gladiolus flower farms were established therein. In subsequent years, this area came to be known as “fashionable northwest Bradenton,” with several subdivisions, including Riverview Landings, platted between these farms.

Riverview Landings emerged as one of the most upscale among these residential communities, largely thanks to its acre-sized lots, lush landscapes of ancient oaks, and several grand estate homes constructed within the property. Truly stand-outs among Bradenton homes for sale, the residences in this community have their own unique charm, and while no two are alike, all are very well-maintained and nestle amid exquisitely beautiful landscaping.

Bradenton home market apex

Riverview Landings

The community has only five residences directly fronting the river, and these are grouped among million-dollar Bradenton homes for sale. At the apex of Riverview Landings’ properties is a lovingly renovated five-bedroom residence built in 1995 with a floor area of 9,286 and a lot size of 2.3-plus acres. A deal on this property could very well count as a candidate for the top luxury home sale in the Bradenton real estate market in recent years, as it has an estimated market value just a hairline below $4 million.

Another darling in this community is a New Orleans-inspired custom-built residence which has a floor space of 4,525 square feet, designed with four bedrooms and three baths and a half. This property was sold in 2013 to the tune of nearly $1.8 million. Premium for this waterfront properties and its ilk are great views of Egmont Key amid Tampa Bay, the Sunshine Skyway Bridge and passing cruise ships.

Options to look out for

Bradenton homes for sale at Riverview Landings which are inland are priced more moderately. Recent sales in this inland section closed mostly from around the $400s up to the $900s for homes having floor areas of 2,261 square feet up to 4,533 square feet designed with either three or four bedrooms.

In the absence of Riverside Landings’ homes for sale at these lower price points, buyers’ attention can shift to its neighboring community, Riverview Bluff. Comprised of just nine residences a short distance west of Riverside Landings, Riverside Bluff typically offers homes priced in the high $600s and designed with floor areas in the 3,800–6,000-square-foot range, featuring from four to six bedrooms.

These communities not only share a prestigious location. Both also enjoy proximity to outdoor recreational activities, such as biking and boating, at the DeSoto National Park just east of the properties and at the Robinson Preserve a short distance west. A full service marina is also just a few blocks away. Likewise a blessing for families with schooling kids, a favored K-12 school, St. Stephen’s Episcopal, is only about 10 minutes’ drive east of these tranquil and historic neighborhoods.
